Similarities and Differences

I think my parents and I learn in the same way. Although I was raised with different ways of having material presented to me than they where when they were kids, I think we share the same overall learning style. Despite the lack of technology available when my parents were growing up, they have it now and in both of their jobs they are required to use it. I think one's learning evolves throughout their lifetime, and people are able to adjust to these changes.
Technology plays a role of equal signifigance in my life and my parents lives. The main difference is that I find it more natural to use technology for all of my personal needs than they do. They use technology work work and research, but very little for recreation. I take advantage of instant messaging and text messaging, where they find it very inconvenient. Unlike them, it is my first insticint to check the internet for movie times, directions, and weather reports, where they would usually check the paper, and look at a map. The main difference between how technology plays a role in my life versus my parents lives is that I use it more frequently and for entertainment than they do.

Great observations. I wonder if your experiences with your parents will be the exception or the rule when we examine our data from the survey.

Interesting observation. It works the same way with me and my parents, they use technology on a daily bases, but have a much harder time adapting it and getting used to it than i do.
